The Hastings County Community and Human Services Committee recommended to county council that they approve start-up grant funding to two child care groups.
Funding would come from the Canada-Wide Early Learning Child Care System with money coming from the federal and provincial governments.
If approved by council, $7,200 would go to Little Lambs Home Daycare and $3,600 would go to Family Space Quinte Inc.
The money would be used by both groups for purchasing play materials and equipment.
Council will look at the recommendation at a future meeting.
