Nominations open for Belleville Sports Hall of Fame

The call is out for nominations for the 2025 class for the Belleville Sports Hall of Fame.
Committee Chair Ian Press says the hall will accept nominations in the categories of athletes, builders and teams.
Those who were born or lived in the Belleville area and have brought honour to the community on a regional, national or international stage may be eligible.

You can see the eligibility criteria and complete an online form on their website, bellevillesortshalloffame.com.

The deadline for nominations is May 25.

Since its inception in 1987, 118 individuals and seven teams have been inducted and are celebrated in the Dr. R. L. Vaughan Atrium on the second floor of the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre.

This year’s induction ceremony will be held September 13.
