A 52-year-old Lakefield man is facing charges in connection with a collision involving two pedestrians last October.
On Monday, October 21, 2024, an 81-year-old woman and an 86-year-old man were struck by a vehicle while crossing the street at Queen Street and Concession Street in Lakefield.
The woman died from her injuries as a result of the collision and the man was injured.
As a result, a 52-year-old Lakefield man was charged with:
- Careless driving causing death
- Careless driving causing bodily harm
- Fail to yield to pedestrian
The accused is scheduled to appear in court on May 26, 2025.
