Northumberland OPP have arrested two people after receiving a call of a suspicious vehicle.
On Monday around 2:15 p.m., police received a report of a pickup truck on Pogue Road in Cramahe Township that appeared to be stuck in the snow and contents had been thrown out of the vehicle.
When officers arrived they saw the vehicle pull into a driveway with two people inside.
Officers spoke to both occupants who were not in distress and uninjured.
Through an investigation, it was discovered that both persons were wanted on warrants in relation to prior incidents and subsequently taken into custody.
Forty-seven-year-old Sherry Foster of the Municipality of Trent Hills, wanted on a warrant dating back to April 2023, has been charged with:
- Unlawfully in a dwelling house.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.
Thirty-six-year-old Justin Haney of the Municipality of Trent Hills, also wanted on warrants dating back to April 2023, has been charged with:
- Unlawfully enter a dwelling house – two counts
- Mischief
- Breach of probation
The individual was held for bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.
