The City of Belleville’s so-called “Sunshine List” has grown by 16 people since 2023.
Monday, council will see a Public Sector Salary Disclosure report in which all municipal employees earning
over $100,000 a year are listed.
A total of 215 people are on the list for 2024 with 91 of them working for the Belleville Police Service.
Leading the list among city employees are now-retired CAO Rod Bovay who earned over $220,000, and former clerk
and now CAO Matt Macdonald whose pay totalled a little over $215,000.
The fire department’s list was topped by Chief Dan Smith with over $185,000.
The Belleville Police Service’s top earner was now-retired former Deputy and Interim Chief Chris Barry at almost $230,000, followed by Inspector now Deputy Chief Sheri Meeks at close to $210,000.
