Northumberland OPP have charged a person for driving while prohibited.
An officer was conducting speed enforcement on Concession Road 13 on Thursday around 3:20 p.m when the officer spotted a pickup truck travelling at 87 Km/h in a posted 50 Km/h limit.
Police were then alerted by the in-car Automated Licence Plate Recognition regarding a suspended driver.
Sixty-three-year-old Kenneth Mackay of Hastings has been charged with the following:
- Speeding
- Operate a motor vehicle without insurance
- Operation while prohibited
The vehicle was impounded for 180 days and the accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.
