Ontario Provincial Police are assisting Cobourg police with a death investigation which has resulted in a first degree murder charge.
Cobourg police responded to a residence on James Street Sunday morning and located a deceased person.
Just before 10 a.m., OPP were contacted to assist with the investigation.
Forty-one-year-old Kenneth Trolley of Cobourg has been charged with first degree murder.
Police have not revealed the identity of the victim.
The OPP Forensic Identification Services, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service is assisting Cobourg police with the investigation.
