Two people have been charged following a crash in Quinte West Wednesday.
Around 10:30 p.m., officers responded to the ditch along County Road 40 (Wooler Road), just north of Highway 401.
The driver fled the scene.
Quinte West OPP say they located the accused in another vehicle, but were provided a false name.
Thirty-seven-year-old Nicholas Johnson of Brighton has been charged with careless driving, obstructing a peace officer, and failing to remain at the scene of a collision.
Meanwhile, 39-year-old Thomas Johnson of Marmora and Lake has been charged with obstructing a peace officer.
