A Canadian-based American beverage packaging company should be opening later this year in Belleville.
YaYa Foods, a subsidiary of Entrepreneurial Equity Parters (E2P), is preparing to move into the 186,000 square foot space most recently occupied by Truss Beverages and previously occupied by HEXO Corporation in the former Sears warehouse on College Street East.
E2P purchased Truss Beverage from Tilray Brands in the summer of last year.
Financial details of the transaction are not available.
Ya Ya Foods is a North American co-packer of aseptic beverages and foods. Its handles products such as high-protein beverages, plant-based drinks, dairy products, fruit juices and sports drinks.
Public announcements outlining details about the Belleville facility are expected in the future, although the Quinte Economic Development Commission reported the company did take part in November’s Santa Claus Parade and other community events.
