Nominations are now open for the Brighton Community Service Excellence Award, formerly known as the Citizen of the Year Award.
The Municipality of Brighton is encouraging individuals and organizations to nominate an outstanding resident who has gone above and beyond in contributing to the well-being of the municipality and its members.
These are the following requirements in order to be eligible for the award:
- A resident of the Municipality of Brighton for a minimum of five years
- Contributed significantly to their community over several years
- Are not receiving remuneration for the volunteer activity or have voluntarily performed duties related to their paid employment significantly beyond what is expected of a person handling that paid position

Nominations forms are due by 12:00 p.m. on March 25, 2025.
