Lansdowne Place Mall Investigation – Update
A Peterborough Police Service investigation continues at Lansdowne Place Mall. Just after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, the mall was successfully evacuated.
Officers with the Peterborough Police Service will continue to have a presence in the area and all entrances to the mall are currently blocked. The mall has been closed for the evening.
The Peterborough Police Service Remotely Piloted Aircraft System will be up as part of the investigation.
4 p.m., Wednesday, February 19, 2025:
Officers with the Peterborough Police Service responded to a call for service at Lansdowne Place Mall just after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
As a precaution, the mall has been temporarily closed and evacuated.
People are asked to avoid the area at this time. It’s not known how long the closure will be in effect.
