Are you wondering what will be open and what will be closed on Family Day on Monday?
All government offices and banks will be closed.
All Beer Stores and LCBOs will also be closed.
Some drug stores will be open along with many restaurants.
Most grocery stores are closed.
Galaxy Cinemas in Belleville is open.
Glanmore National Historic Site is closed.
Local public libraries are closed.
No buses will be running for either Belleville Transit or Quinte Transit.
There will be no changes to garbage and recycling pick-up schedules in Belleville, Quinte West or Prince Edward County.
Many communities are hosting family day public skates and other community activities. A few are listed below:
Belleville
Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre – Special schedule Feb. 17. Customer service desk open from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. only. Pre-registration is required for all programs except public skates, and spaces fill quickly. For more information and to register, visit: QSWC.ca.
Quinte West
FREE Family Day public skate sponsored by CUPE 1022. Monday, Feb. 17 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Pad 2 – Duncan McDonald Memorial Community Gardens (8 Couch Cres., Trenton)
The National Air Force Museum presents EXPEDITION: ARCTIC. Suitable for all ages, programming will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For Family Day only, museum admission rates are by donation on entry. All activities are scheduled to take place inside the museum; access to the airpark is weather dependent. No food or drink (water permitted) is allowed inside the museum.

- Highline Hall Activities from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Join the Wellington Rotary Club for games and reading programs with County Kids Read
- Participate in the Prince Edward Lions Club family fun activities
- Free soup and chili provided by the Wellington Rotary Club (11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.)
- Visit the OPP, South Shore Joint Initiative, County Transit, Prince Edward County Libraries, and the County of Prince Edward booths in the lobby.
Prince Edward Community Centre (375 Picton Main Street)
- Public skating will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (brought to you by the Prince Edward County Professional Firefighters Association Local 2745)
Making Memories at Macaulay (35 Church Street)
Join The County Museums at Macaulay House from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. for Family Day fun.
- Create a mini family photo album using book-binding techniques
- Enjoy free cider and snacks by the hearth
- Take a family hike through Macaulay Mountain
- While admission is free, donations to The County Museums are appreciated.
Stirling-Rawdon
The Elementary Teachers Federation of Hastings Prince Edward is sponsoring a public skate from 2:00 to 4:30 on Family Day, Feb 17 at the Stirling and District Recreation Centre.
Centre Hastings
