A late night RIDE program by members of Prince Edward County OPP resulted in a driver being arrested.
Officers were conducting a RIDE program on County Road 10 at County Road 22 at 3:00 a.m on Wednesday.
During the RIDE program, officers conducted a test on one driver with the Approved Screening Device.
As a result, the driver was arrested and transported to the detachment for further testing.
Forty-five-year-old Gordon Brough of Prince Edward County was charged with the following:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol
- Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Drive commercial motor vehicle – no licence
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on March 5, 2025.
He also had his driver’s licence suspended for a period of 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.
