Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board, and Hastings Prince Edward District School Board, have not made any decisions about bus cancellations or school closures due to the upcoming winter storm.
Both boards say decisions will be communicated by 6 a.m. Thursday.
Read the full alerts sent from each board below:
Dear families,
As always, the safety of our students and staff is a priority.
Please note that in partnership with TriBoard Transportation, and our co-terminus school boards, we are in discussions regarding the potential for inclement weather tomorrow.
We continue to monitor the situation. There is a very likely chance that all buses will be cancelled.
Our teams will make a decision about potential school closures by 6:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. Notifications of any school closures will be sent via SchoolMessenger and found on all board and school websites.
Thank you and stay safe!

Hello families,
We are closely monitoring the weather and travel advisories in advance of the winter storm that is forecast for tonight and tomorrow.
It is possible that some or all schools may be closed to students and staff on Thursday, February 13, 2025. The final decision will be made by 6:00 AM tomorrow and will be communicated through email, as well as @HPEschools social media, Tri-Board and local radio stations.
We understand that this can create an inconvenience for families, so we wanted to share early that school closures may be possible. Watch for further information by 6:00 AM tomorrow.
