A Belleville business’s first-ever Take What You Need event to help local families was a resounding success.
On Friday, Once Upon A Child handed out 8079 pieces of clothing and shoes to area families.
The North Front Street store specializes in buying and selling gently used children’s clothing, toys, and baby gear.
Store owners Chris and Kate Pieniman estimate as many as 400 people came through the doors to take what they needed for free from a large selection of items at the store.
