A water main has ruptured in Quinte West, leading to a boil water advisory in Trenton.
Quinte West Mayor Jim Harrison has informed Quinte News that the leak has been found and repaired, though the boil water advisory remains in effect as a precautionary measure.
Mayor Harrison said that the original leak was caused when work taking place near one of the pipes caused damage.
Residents in the affected area are asked to boil their water for at least a minute before drinking.
