On Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at approximately 4:20 p.m., members from Central East Division were called to Mary Street North, near Taunton Road for a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle.
The vehicle was travelling south on Mary Street North, when it came to a stop.
A female passenger exited the vehicle and was struck by the vehicle as it drove away.
The female was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
Members of the DRPS – Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene to conduct an investigation.
The area of the roadway was closed for several hours while evidence was collected.
This collision is still under investigation.
