Quinte West Fire, Hastings Quinte Paramedics and OPP responded to a massive fire at 10 Canal Street, in a warehouse storing paper products.
Firefighters were called around 1:30 p.m. Monday afternoon and began fighting the flames and smoke in the rear receiving area of the 100,000-square-foot warehouse, owned by Massey’s Productions.
Utility workers from Enbridge Gas and Hydro One arrived to turn off gas and power to the building.

Brad Stitt of the Belleville Police surveyed the blaze from a drone and helped crews locate hot spots in the building.
Around 8:00 p.m. crews left the scene, but will return Tuesday for further investigation .
There is no cause or damage estimate at this time .
