A 27-year-old Peterborough man wanted on two warrants was arrested Monday afternoon.
At approximately 3:40 p.m. on January 6, 2025, officers on general patrol in the Charlotte Street and George Street area spotted a man attempting to get into a parking meter with a stick.
When they approached the male, they realized he was wanted on warrants for assault and theft under $5,000 as well as failing to comply with an appearance notice.
As a result, the 27-year-old Peterborough man was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants.
He is being held in custody and will appear in court today, Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
