We have a few more details regarding an alleged standoff between police and at least one person in a vehicle from Saturday night.
On December 2, around 5:15 p.m., a witness to Quinte News says he witnessed a vehicle in the ditch on Shannonville Road near Lazier Road.
The witness indicates there were about 10 police vehicles on scene.
He also says he observed multiple officers with their weapons drawn, surrounding the vehicle.
The only thing police have told us to this point is that OPP responded to a call on Shannonville Road and that police deemed there was no threat to public safety.
We asked about charges, arrests, and further details, but have received no response at this time.
