- Belleville – Quinte West – Eastern Northumberland County
Winter weather travel advisory in effect for this afternoon through tonight.
Hazards: Snowfall accumulations of 10 to 15 cm. Low visibility in areas of heavier snow. Difficult travel conditions due to snow covered and icy roads.
Timing: Beginning this afternoon and ending tonight.
Discussion: Snow will advance into the region this afternoon becoming heavy at times this evening through tonight. The snow will taper off to flurries late tonight or early Tuesday morning with a risk of freezing drizzle.
There is still some uncertainty with where the heaviest snow sets up as the system develops today. Upgrades to snowfall warnings may be required.
Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
