The City of Belleville’s Automated Speed Enforcement cameras are moving to four new locations in the new year.
Signage has been posted at the Community Safety Zones where the cameras will be moving, to notify drivers of the upcoming change.
They will be moved to the new locations the week of January 6 to 10.
The cameras will be installed in the following Community Safety Zones:
Ashley Street (from Ducette Road to Old Madoc Road)
Dundas Street East (from George Street to First Street)
Palmer Road (from Bridge Street West to Dundas Street West)
Sidney Street (from Bridge Street West to Moira Street West)
City officials say the implementation of ASE aligns with Belleville’s commitment to prioritizing road safety and promoting responsible driving behaviors and reinforces the city’s dedication to fostering a secure and livable community for all its residents.
Residents and motorists are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the upcoming ASE signage and comply with speed limits to ensure the effectiveness of the program in enhancing road safety.
