Quinte West OPP say a driver fled from police during an attempted traffic stop early Sunday.
Police tried to stop a vehicle for a Highway Traffic Act violation on Wallbridge-Loyalist Road around 1 a.m. but the driver kept going and later attempted to hide the vehicle and escape on foot.
Officers located and arrested an individual a short time later on charges of flight from a peace officer, dangerous operation, driving without a licence and use plate not authorized for vehicle
The accused was released from custody and scheduled to appear in court on January 16.
The accused was also issued two Part III Provincial Offence Notices.
