Theft Under $5,000
On December 6, 2024 at 4:45 p.m., Belleville police were called to a north end business in regards to a theft. Officers arrived on scene and took two suspect males into custody. Charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by crime were 28-year-old Jonathan Hill and 35-year-old Tyler Hill of Belleville. Both accused were released from custody with a court date of January 16, 2024.

Theft Over $5,000
On December 6, 2024 at 8 p.m., Belleville police were called to a north end business in regards to a theft in progress. Officers quickly arrived on scene and located one of the two suspects involved. The second suspect had fled the scene just prior to police arriving. The 18-year-old accused, Syed Taqi Raza Naqvi of Scarborough, was charged with theft over $5000 and possession of property obtained by crime. The accused was held for a bail hearing on December 7, 2024 and will reappear in court later this week.

Domestic Assault
On December 7, 2024 at 10 p.m., Belleville police were called to a residence on Cannifton Road in regards to a domesticincident. Upon arrival, police found the parties involved to be separated in the residence. Further investigation led officers to arrest an intoxicated, 35-year-old man for domestic assault. The accused was held for a bail hearing on December 8, 2024 and will reappear in court later this week.
