Belleville City Council approved a number of speed limit recommendations in Thurlow ward at its meeting on Monday.
A study has been conducted to determine the appropriate posted speeds based upon specific road and roadway environment characteristics.
The proposed speed limit changes show the road, the section between the road, and the proposed speed limit:
- Beatty Road – Zion Road and Bethel Road – 70 km/hr
- Bethel Road – Foxton Road and Willett Road – 70 km/hr
- Bethel Road – Willet Road and Beatty Road – 60 km/hr
- Boundary Road – Hwy 37 and a point 750m west of Foxton Road – 70 km/hr
- Brennan Road – Blessington Road and Casey Road – 70 km/hr
- Bronk Road – Blessington Road and Harmony Road – 80 km/hr
- Bronk Road – Harmony Road and Scuttlehole Road – 70 km/hr
- Cranston Road – Zion Road to Bethel Road – 70 km/hr
- Foxton Road – Zion Road to Boundary Road – 70 km/hr
- Kelly Road – Clearview Road to Bethel Road – 70 km/hr
- Morgan Road – Clearview Road to Bethel Road – 70 km/hr
- Townsend Road – Hwy 62 and a point 1.1 kilometres west of Kelly Road – 70 km/hr
- Townsend Road – Kelly Road and a point 1.1 kilometres west of Kelly Road – 60 km/hr
- Willett Road – Zion Road to Bethel Road – 60 km/hr
