Belleville police say they arrested and charged four people with drug-related offences after executing a Project Renewal warrant at The Traveler’s Inn.
The warrant was executed at the motel just before 1 p.m. on Friday.
Members of the joint police team Project Renewal, along with the Belleville Police Service Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Belleville Police Service K9 Unit, executed the warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Police say in a release that the targets were known to be selling narcotics to the local homeless community.
The following were charged:
Thirty-eight-year-old Randi Rose of no fixed address
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Crystal Methamphetamine
- Proceeds of crime under $5000
Thirty-four-year-old Dave Waddington of no fixed address
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Crystal Methamphetamine
- Proceeds of crime under $5000
Forty-three-year-old Darrell King of no fixed address
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Crystal Methamphetamine
- Proceeds of crime under $5000
Forty-four-year-old Melissa Sinclair of Belleville
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Crystal Methamphetamine
- Proceeds of crime under $5000
Waddington and Sinclair were additionally charged with fail to comply with probation order.
Rose and Waddington were held for a show cause hearing on December 6, 2024.
King and Sinclair were released on a Form 10 with a court date of January 13, 2025 and a fingerprint date of January 2, 2025.
Police released a list of items seized in the arrests:
- 15.2 grams of Fentanyl
- 9.0 grams of Cocaine
- 1.1 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine
- $965 Canadian Currency
- Digital Scales
- Packaging material
