Northumberland OPP charged two individuals in connection with theft investigations in Brighton.
On the afternoon of September 8, police received several complaints about a suspicious person attempting to gain access to vehicles between Ontario Street and Centre Street.
Thefts from two vehicles were confirmed.
Among the items stolen was a method of payment used to complete a transaction at a local convenience store on the same day.
OPP arrested one suspect, 36-year-old Brooke Gignac of Trenton, on November 2, charging her with two counts of theft under $5,000 from a motor vehicle, use of a credit card in the commission of an offence and identity theft.
A second person was arrested on December 4.
Forty-six-year-old Jami-Lee Dean of Port Hope is charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Both accused are due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.
