The Canadian Armed Forces is mourning the passing of one of its members.
There will be a Repatriation Ceremony Thursday afternoon at 8 Wing Trenton for
Lieutenant-Colonel Kent Miller who died from non-operational medical complications in Belgium
while serving with Operation UNIFIER, an Armed Forces program that trains Ukrainian military and security personnel
in battlefield tactics and in advanced military skills.
Lieutenant-Colonel Miller, an Afghanistan veteran, was attached to Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe in a planning
and coordination capacity.
The ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. after which the motorcade will proceed to Toronto on the Highway of Heroes.
