Hastings County Council is supporting Marmora and Lake Township in its efforts to get financial help from the provincial government to fix a serious problem at the arena in Marmora.
The chiller, part of the ice-making equipment, failed earlier this year. The arena has been without an ice surface since, and will need a new chiller before an ice surface can be maintained.
In a letter of support, Warden Bob Mullin spoke about how important the arena is to the community.
