A fire destroyed a sauna in Prince Edward County Sunday evening.
Around 10:30 p.m., crews responded to 161 Niles Street in Wellington, off Belleville Street, by the ball diamond.
Flames and smoke were reported at the property, coming from the back yard
It took crews about 30 minutes to knock down the flames in the sauna.
The homeowners tell Quinte News that their dog Carl woke up everyone in the house and they were able to escape safely.
They also wish to pass along thanks to the fire crews and OPP members who responded and kept damage from spreading.
