One person has been arrested and police are looking for a second suspect after a victim was stabbed during a robbery Saturday night.
Belleville officers responded to the area of Bridge St. and Pinnacle St. around 10:15 p.m. where they located a victim suffering from lacerations to his head and arms.
The victim reported he was attacked with an edged weapon as a male and female suspect stole his bag and then fled the scene.
The victim was taken to Belleville General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police were able to identify both suspects through their investigation and on Sunday, arrested a 38-year-old male suspect of no fixed address on charges of robbery, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm and breach of probation.
He was held for a bail hearing.
A 37-year-old female suspect, also of no fixed address, has yet to be located.
