Northumberland OPP are investigating following a fatal accident involving two vehicles in Trent Hills.
Just after midnight on Sunday morning, officers responded with firefighters and EMS to a report of a car wreck involving two vehicles on County Road 25, south of County Road 35.
A 41-year-old male driver, from the Township of Douro-Dummer was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle, a 32-year-old woman from Oshawa, was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased. There were no other people involved in the collision.
County Road 25 remains closed as the investigation continues and diversions have been set up at County Road 35 and Concession Road.
Any witnesses or people who have dash camera or security camera footage of the incident, are being asked to contact the OPP.
