This weekend marks the fall curbside Giveaway Days in Quinte West and Belleville.
Residents in both municipalities can put giveaway items curbside by 8 a.m. and bring any remaining items back inside by 8 p.m. each day.
Appropriate items to give away include: DVDs, books, furniture, small appliances, kitchen items and construction materials.
Giveaway Days are happening in advance of Waste Reduction Week October 21-27.
Councillor Chris Malette, chair of Belleville’s Green Task Force Committee says Giveaway Day is a great way to prevent unnecessary waste and help promote a circular economy.
