Northumberland OPP have charged a Grafton man following a family dispute.
Late Wednesday night, police responded to a report of a dispute between family members at a Telephone Road address which resulted in damage to items and areas within the residence.
A suspect was not present when police arrived and it was believed that he had left on foot with his infant child.
The Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit assisted with the search for the individuals in the surrounding wooded area, however, a short time later the suspect returned to the residence.
The child was unharmed.
The 33-year-old male is charged with three counts of mischief under $5,000.
The individual was held for bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice.
He will not be named to protect the identities of the victim and child.
