The Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation’s largest annual fundraiser goes Saturday.
The foundation gala brings in major dollars to support the purchase of priority medical equipment for TMH.
Lindsay Butcher-Dodds of the TMH Foundation says there is going to be lots of sparkle and lots of fun, with a Saturday Night Fever theme.
“Lot’s of disco. At the event itself we’re going to have a lot of surprises throughout the night. Maybe, some surprise dances from local celebrities. We’re also going to have lots of games, photo booth, an amazing live auction, we’ve never had a live auction like this.”
She says this year they hope to bring in what they did last year.
“Last year we raised just over $400,000 and it was for the C-Arm and for Urology. This year it’s for the ER expansion. The ER expansion is going to be a multi-million dollar investment for the community. We’re just hoping to raise similar to what we did last year and it will go towards that expansion and the equipment needed for it.”
It is taking place at the Batawa Community Centre.
