A Belleville man is facing fraud charges after attempting to pass a bad cheque at a north end financial institution.
Belleville police responded to a call on Friday, after being called by employees. Police spoke to both the man and the employees and determined he was knowingly using fraudulent cheques.
As a result, 20-year-old Singh Jaspal of Belleville was charged with fraud and using a forged document.
He was released from custody with a court date in November.
