The Belleville Senators defeated the Rochester Americans 3-2 on Friday night at Blue Cross Arena.
Xavier Bourgault, Cole Reinhardt, and Phil Daoust scored for the Sens.
The Americans opened up scoring early in the first, but the Senators came back to tie the game before the end of the frame.
The Senators took another goal in the second, and then a final goal in the third period.
Belleville Senators Head Coach Dave Bell said that an early win like this is important for team morale.
“A lot of good things came out of that. I thought our goaltending was outstanding, and our special teams were real good,” said Coach Bell. “There were a lot of really good efforts in certain moments of the game from a lot of different guys.”
The Senators are back in action on Saturday facing the Syracuse Crunch.
