You could excuse Belleville police officers for thinking the overnight Tuesday was a “girls’ night out.”
Police say a woman was sitting in her vehicle in a Bell Boulevard businesses parking lot when another
woman jumped in and sat down and refused to leave.
Officers responded and found the unwanted guest to be highly intoxicated and the 44-year-old Belleville woman was arrested and ticketed.
Meanwhile at around 1 o’clock Wednesday morning, city police responded after reports a woman was lying on the ground screaming behind stores on Front Street in the downtown area.
The 29-year-old Belleville woman was drunk and uncooperative.
She was arrested for being intoxicated in public.
