Belleville police responded to 79 calls for service over a 24-hour period from 5 a.m. on October 7, 2024 to 5 a.m. on October 8, 2024.
Arrested on Warrant
On October 7, 2024 at 5:30 p.m., a 16-year-old male attended the Belleville Police Service to turn himself in on outstanding warrants held by the OPP. The male was arrested and held in custody until he was picked up and transported by the OPP on the strength of the warrants.
City police also report a fairly steady 24-hour period. Police did respond to several incidents that ended peacefully with police intervention. Those incidents included nine 911 hang-ups, six suspicious persons, two traffic complaints, three motor vehicle collisions and thirteen calls for police assistance; among other various call types.
