Ontario Provincial Police officers in Central Region will be on the roads and highways, and in the air, leading up to the long weekend.
A plane from the OPP Aviation Services will be working with officers on the ground, to weed out dangerous drivers, focusing on the “Big Four” factors in serious and fatal collisions.
Those factors are aggressive driving, inattentive driving, impaired driving and lack of occupant restraints.
Aggressive driving includes, among other things, speeding, unsafe lane changes and following too close.
OPP will not be providing specific locations for aerial enforcement but say it could be highways or secondary roads.
