It’s going to be a busy day for a great cause Wednesday at Quinte Broadcasting (CJBQ, MIX97,ROCK107) and five other local radio stations.
The annual Kids Can’t Wait Radiothon for The Children’s Foundation will be on air from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.
People are invited to call in and make a donation and learn about the foundation’s work from special guests throughout the day.
All proceeds go toward The Children’s Foundation’s many programs which support disadvantaged children from their infancy until they’re ready for post-secondary education or the workforce. An online auction has been underway for two weeks and continues until 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Last year’s Radiothon raised around $60,000.
