A stolen vehicle suspect was arrested after allegedly trying to sneak a complimentary breakfast from a local hotel.
Belleville police say an off-duty officer spotted the man, who was wanted on a number of warrants related to a stolen vehicle investigation on September 26, 2024, entering a hotel at around 7 a.m on Friday.
Officers arrived and spotted the man taking part in the complimentary breakfast offered to patrons.
Jason Rushlow of no fixed address was arrested without incident.
A warrant had been issued by Belleville police on charges including dangerous operation of a vehicle, flight from police, possession of property obtained by crime, failing to comply with probation and driving without a licence.
Rushlow was remanded into custody following a bail hearing and has a court date in October to face the charges.
