UPDATE: The road has now re-opened.
Northumberland OPP are investigating after a fatal accident in Alnwick-Haldimand Township.
Police, firefighters and EMS responded to the area south of Davis Road on County Road 45 just after 2 a.m. on Sunday for an accident involving a motorcycle.
A 73-year-old motorcycle rider from Roseneath, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
OPP Traffic Collision Investigation members and the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario are attending the scene to assist with the investigation.
County Road 45 was closed in the area of Woodland Road and County Road 29, until 10 am.
The investigation is ongoing.
