Bay of Quinte MP Ryan Williams congratulated Bay of Quinte MPP-elect Tyler Allsopp on his by-election victory Thursday night.
In a press release, Williams extended his congratulations to Allsopp and his family.
“With Tyler’s election, we are seeing the rise of a new generation of leadership in Bay of Quinte,” said MP Ryan Williams.
“This is an exciting time for our community, and I have full confidence that Tyler will bring fresh energy and innovative ideas to address the challenges facing our region.”
Williams said he will be working with Allsopp to help find solutions to key issues affecting Bay of Quinte, citing housing affordability, the rising cost of living, increased crime, and the ongoing drug and addiction crisis.
“These issues impact us all, and they are especially critical for the younger generations who are struggling to find affordable housing, make ends meet, and deal with the increasing toll of addiction and crime in our communities,” Williams said.
“It is essential that all levels of government, regardless of political stripe, collaborate to address these problems head-on.”
Williams finished by saying he was looking forward, with Allsopp and his team, to help build the future of the Bay of Quinte.
“We must put our heads together, roll up our sleeves, and take action. Tyler’s leadership, alongside the efforts of municipal and federal representatives, will be key to creating meaningful solutions for our region for years to come,” Williams said.
