“And everywhere I went during this campaign, people reminded me of how big those shoes were. And that’s something I take very seriously. I mean Todd was an absolute legend in this community. Really came out for people, showed up to their events, you know, was present and worked very, very hard at that. And that’s something that Todd impressed upon me and that’s exactly the way that I plan to be as well.”
You know, hearing people’s concerns, hearing their priorities – healthcare was certainly top of the list everywhere we went across the riding and that’s something I’m going to focus on right away. Getting more homes built, you know making that dream of home ownership closer for people. Because two thirds of my generation doesn’t think they’ll be able to own a home and that’s not acceptable to me.”

“And so I got into this process knowing the huge responsibility that it was and being focussed on the issues that matter to people and wanting to be able to address those and having a larger role in that. So, it’s not something where the weight of it has fallen upon me now that I know the result. I got into it knowing that the weight would be there and wanting to have that challenge and wanting to do that work for the people of the Bay of Quinte.”
