(Picton native Jamie Pringle)
The coaching staff of the NHL’s Calgary Flames is taking on a distinctive local flavour. More specifically, a Belleville Bulls flavour.
Picton native Jamie Pringle is entering his ninth season as an assistant video coach with the Flames following three seasons with the Florida Panthers.
Prior to that, Pringle spent the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons as the video coach for Hockey Canada.
Pringle began his career with the Belleville Bulls serving on the coaching staff of Louis Crawford, Jim Hulton and James Boyd.
Meanwhile former Bulls star Matt Stajan has rejoined the Flames in a skills consultant role.
Stajan spent nine of his 15-year NHL career with Calgary following a trade from the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Stajan starred for the Bulls for three seasons from 2000 to 2003.
He holds the distinction of having scored in three different leagues (OHL AHL NHL) in a span of 5 days in 2003.
