Quinte West is preparing to award an annual accessibility award, in an effort to improve accessibility for residents in the community.
Council voted to establish the award at Wednesday’s meeting, to be presented yearly on the international day of persons with disabilities on December 3.
The award recognizes an individual or organization who has made a significant contribution towards improving accessibility in the community.
The motion was passed without debate.
