A drug trafficking investigation in Quinte West has resulted in several charges against a resident.
The OPP East Region Community Street Crime Unit located the suspect on Film Street near McGill Street Monday where he was arrested following what police call a short-lived attempt to flee.
Investigators located and seized six grams of suspected fentanyl, over 40 grams of suspected methamphetamine, nearly two grams of suspected cocaine and more than $1,600 in cash.
Thirty-one-year-old Kevin Scurry of Quinte West is charged with:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Resist peace officer
- Fail to comply with probation order
The accused was remanded in custody for a court appearance at a later date.
