The Lennox and Addington (L&A) County OPP has charged two drivers in impaired driving-related investigations.
On September 15, 2024, just after 1 a.m., officers responded to an address on Holland’s Road in Greater Napanee for a report of a disturbance. When officers arrived, they located an individual in a vehicle. Officers spoke to the driver, who was subsequently arrested.
Investigation revealed the driver to be more than two and a half times the legal alcohol limit.
As a result, a 46-year-old female from Napanee was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
On September 15, 2024 at approximately 2:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision on Highway 33 in Greater Napanee. Officers arrived on scene and located the driver of the vehicle. As part of the investigation, an Approved Screening Device was administered and the driver was subsequently arrested and transported to detachment for further testing.
As a result, Ryan Burns, age 39, of Kingston was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Both accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee at a later date.
