The Wellington Dukes were defeated in their home opener on friday, falling 4-3 against the Toronto Jr. Canadiens.
Zachary Carrier and Cory Jewitt scored for the Dukes.
The Dukes suffered a disastrous start in the first period, with the Canadiens taking three unanswered goals and building a commanding lead. The teams played a scoreless deadlock in the second, before the Dukes rallied in the third period and grabbed three goals of their own. A last goal by Toronto kept them in the lead, and won them the game.
The Dukes are back in action on Sunday, hosting the Markham Royals at the Duke Dome.
